Day 340: Floral detail...

Day 340: ...in their own way

There was rain. And more rain. It is nice but there is much to be done outdoors. I was expecting fine weather. Never mind. I shan't complain.

Nor, it seems, do the flowers here and there. Some were bursting to bloom, like the Emperor jasmine...

Full bloom

Wait until tomorrow

...some took a tumble and landed safely on a leaf...

Good landing

...while others have left their roosts permanently until next spring.

Jacaranda
It was a rather full-on day today with medical appointments, clarinet rehearsal (and morning tea duties which we, the bass clarinets, are not allowed to skimp having set the bar so high for our treats...*), a stage play and an evening concert. The last is the Messiah which I haven't seen in an age. It closes out the concert series for 2014 just as today's play 'Gasp' by Ben Elton drew the curtain^ on the 2014 QTC series.

That will leave me with a few spare Saturdays for a couple of months until it all starts again in 2015. But I'm sure I'll find something to fill in the detail between now and then.

Lucky there are just 25 days left...
