Day 128 2015: More sun...

Day 128: ...than we know what to do with

Friday. Sun day. Really sunny day. Such a dramatic contrast with last Friday. Autumn in Brisbane is marvellous. Er, that is, when it is marvellous and not presenting us with abnormal storm cells. And speaking of abnormal cells, my time for my medical date, right on cue (the twitching shoulder always gives it away).

Sun-/-light. Photographers love playing with it. A challenge in so many ways and sunlight this morning was brilliant. Literally. It was, technically speaking, just the wrong time for the loris to call by. Wrong for technical reasons...they make me point the camera in the direction of the sun. Which is wrong, technically speaking because of things like flaring, and fazing and other interruptions to the 'perfect' photo.

There's a smudge of lorikeet

But I'm a bit of a fan of Picasso when it comes to rules dear reader. He apparently said that one should 'learn the rules like a pro, to break them like an artist'. Now look, I am neither pro nor artist but somewhere betwixt and between, wherever the keen amateur sits. And I know a lot of the rules...

And some of my favourite photos over time have indeed been mistakes of sorts. So technically speaking, dear reader, these are not good photos. But really, when a lori comes to visit and puts on his best 'curiosity' pose then who cares about technical rules really.

Ha, I shall perform for thee...

...right NOW, just where the sun is most annoying

...but I know you care not...

....because you're pretending to be Picasso, or something...

...bwhahaha

The haze merely reminds us that it was a bright and sunny part of the day, after all. And besides, lorikeets. Nothing else really matters.
