Day 9: ...or, now for something completely different
I did have a plan to continue with the outdoor setting restoration project. It involves sanding and staining and varnishing. It requires mild, dry weather. Perhaps such a project in the Queensland summer is not such a great idea. Anyway...
Whilst awaiting the perfect varnishing conditions, I thought it opportune to get into town to see an exhibition I'd been meaning to see for a while at the Museum of Brisbane. To my delight there was another worth seeing too. And even more delightful, there weren't anywhere as many people as I'd imagined there might be, given it is school holiday time.
The one I went with purpose to see was Stephen Nothling's 'The Last Street in Highgate Hill', a nearby Brisbane suburb with classic Queenslander housing and brilliantly imagined.

The other exhibition was one for all camera-types, 'Cloud Land' in Camera Obscura by Sydney-based Brisbane artist, Robyn Stacey. Technical, intriguing, engaging, challenging, comfortable/uncomfortable moments. Perfect exhibition.

And the other reason to go to the Museum of Brisbane is the perspective it gives you of the city and particularly from the City Hall building.
