Day 245 2016: It's autumn...

Day 245: ...but not as we know it

Autumn. The nights get cooler, the leaves change colour (they certainly do here), the breezes have a cooling quality...

...except these days. Despite a perfect blue sky start today, the temperatures reached over 30 degrees early on and there was no sign of leaves changing colour, yet.

Autumnal blues
Perhaps I'm expecting too much in one day. But work continued in and around the port today and I wouldn't mind betting that car park resurfacing was planned when the expectation was the days would be cooler. Poor workers.

Out we go

Tonka trucks

Autumnal wisps (wishful thinking)

Sunsetting colours

Finishing up

Tugs return

Still, the tugs went out and the tugs came back and the cycles of the port remained the same.

More people were back around the corridors today, we have two weeks before it all starts again...students, politics, learning, sharing. There are seasons at uni too, but they tend to be a little more certain than the weather these days.
