Day 349: 15 Dec 2017: Build a wall...

Day 349: ...of books...

No sooner will classes finish next month and our next task will be to revise the 2018 syllabi. I'm constantly thinking and preparing for this during the year, but there will come a time I will have to put pen to paper (fingers to keyboard in the modern parlance) and put the changes in place.

I'm planning some major revisions to one of the courses in particular (minor updates with the others) and that means a bit of reading. I've been ordering a few relevant texts over the last few weeks (we have a lovely research account which allows us, nay, encourages us to *buy books, glorious books*) and they've been arriving in dribs and drabs...I piled them up today:

social movements, populism, Ainu, peace and Arendt

Egads, that many!* (*Actually, just a small portion of the full pile...) That is quite a bit of reading to do. Build a wall? Build a bridge more likely, and walk over it.

Speaking of which, an unusual light fell on the Bay Bridge today, it just caught my eye.

Sun light

Sun bright

The light, at the beginning, middle and end of the the bridge. Perhaps.
